DESCRIPTION OF COMPANY PROFILE
Ghana Cassava Centre of Excellence (GCCE) is a leading non-profit and non-governmental organization that has the ultimate goal to help strengthen innovations and technologies for a sustainable Cassava Value Chain Development. Our commitment is to champion Cassava Enterprises Development through advocacy, capacity building, and strengthening market linkages in Ghana and beyond.
LEGAL FRAMEWORK (ESTABLISHMENT)
GCCE began its operations in August 2013. It was subsequently issued with Certificates of Incorporation and Commencement of Business by the Registrar-General of Ghana on 22nd April, 2015 with company number CG156892015. The Organization is authorized to engage in cassava value chain advocacy, training, market research, farming and consultancies to promote cassava and its related industries in Ghana.

Our goal is to become the leading private sector voice that champions cassava enterprises development to create sustainable jobs for the youth and women in Ghana by the year 2030.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to meet a national expectation in the production and processing of cassava and its derivatives in Ghana, by delivering the best solutions to our clientele in the communities we serve to sustainably enhance livelihoods and reduce poverty in rural economies of Ghana and beyond.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENT OF GCCE IN THE CASSAVA INDUSTRY IN GHANA AND BEYOND
- Establishment of National Cassava Festival (Week) Celebrations: The cassava festival seeks to provide a platform for all Industry actors to dialogue and showcase innovations and technologies and developments in the Cassava Value Chain.
- Successfully organized the first ever International Conference and Exhibition on Cassava Utilization and Marketing (ICECUM) in Ghana in 2015.
- Hosted and supported the African Union Commission Department of Trade and Industry to develop Cassava Marshal for the Continent.
- Supported West African Agriculture Commodity Exchange (WAACE) to develop a portal for the cross-border trading of cassava products within the ECOWAS Sub-region.
- Supported Ghana Agricultural Sector Investment Program Programme to develop entry points-upgrading-criteria for cassava processors who were interested to access the IFAD SME Fund.
- Established the Ghana Cassava Business Network in collaboration with Crop Research Institute of the CSIR to promote trade and market linkages.
- GCCE has championed a national floor policy with at least 10% high quality cassava floor inclusion to promote the utilization of cassava in the country.
- GGCE has signed a ground-breaking Memorandum of Understanding with the Centre for Cassava Technology (CETEM) and the National Cassava Stakeholders apex body of the Parana State in Brazil (the largest cassava ecosystem of Brazil) to deepen cooperation among actors and also to exchange ideas on new technologies in both countries.
